We recommend steeping this tea a little less than normal, as bitterness can interfere with the aromatics. It is traditionally served with a squeeze of lemon and a little sugar (not milk).

This tea’s infusion of Safflower, Marigold and Mallow Blossom into the rich, dark liquor produced by Czar Nicholas II black tea leaves create the most exotic and pleasurable “taste sensation” I’ve had. If this sounds “too British”, this tea is so delicious you will drink so much of it you might as well BE British. It’s a kind of reverse-Kim Philby effect.
BUT DON’T let it boil, or put milk in it.
Try the other Czar Nicholas II teas: they are all superlative. Sri Lanka must be a magical place.
