Pork in its own juice is a canned product made from fresh meat with the addition of minimal ingredients. This dish originated in the middle of the XIX century in France, later the first factories appeared in Russia. Canned meat served as an emergency reserve, it could be stored for at least three years and was essential during the war, long trips and long expeditions.
